Case study · Christchurch · 2026

Balance Wellbeing Collective

Four practices, one owner, and a business with no name of its own. I gave it one, had the logo properly redrawn, and moved the whole website across in six weeks, in time for the Women's Wellness Expo.

CLIENT   Carin Andresen, founder

WHEN   August to October 2026

The starting point

A business that had outgrown its name

Carin built Face Yoga NZ, then added yin yoga, her own skincare range and, in 2026, a Pilates studio in Heathcote Valley. She bought the studio's customers but not its trading name, so the part of the business actually paying the bills had nothing to trade under.

She needed one name over all four, a logo a signwriter could actually use, and a website that said who she is now. All before her first expo, on a small-business budget, without touching the Pilates payment links that were bringing in every dollar.

Hard deadline

Signage and site ready before the Women's Wellness Expo, 10 and 11 October.

No usable logo

Only AI-generated concept images, some with jumbled lettering. Nothing a signwriter could cut.

Payments untouchable

Stripe class passes and Setmore bookings had to keep working through every change.

Fixed price

Done in phases with a clear line on what was in and out, so no surprises on the invoice.

01 · The brand

From AI sketch to sign-ready artwork

I checked the name was free to use and Carin registered the domain the same week. I took her favourite concept, swapped in the best parts of two others, and had it redrawn as clean vector artwork, so it holds up on an expo banner and shrunk down to a browser tab icon. The colours came from her own artwork, then I tested them for readability. Only the olive was dark enough to carry text, so the olive carries the name everywhere.

Type: Cormorant Garamond for headings, Montserrat for body. Both free, so there's never a licence bill.

02 · The website

A changeover, not a rebuild

Carin's WordPress site was solid underneath, so there was no point paying to start again. I wireframed the four main pages, got her sign-off, then rebuilt each one as a draft alongside the live site and swapped them over in one sitting.

  • Home, What We Offer, About and Contact rebuilt in the new brand
  • Pilates given its own homepage section, with the timetable up front
  • New footer, announcement bar, privacy policy and a sharper header
  • Clear booking paths: buy a Pilates pass, or book a free face yoga assessment
  • Every payment and booking link left exactly as it was

03 · Being found

New name, same reputation

A rebrand can quietly wipe out years of search history. I moved the site to its new address page by page with permanent redirects, told Google about the move, and renamed the existing Google listing instead of starting a new one, so every review came across.

I also set up the enquiry form with automated emails, so every new enquiry gets a quick reply and lands in one inbox under the new name.

Carin also got a ready-to-go rollout pack: social profile sizes, announcement posts in her voice, and answers to the questions her followers would ask.

“Ange is incredible, she really goes the extra mile and I can truly see how much she cares!! Great communication, highly recommend her”
